Contribution of Mentorship Support to Youth Goals Achievement. A Case Study of AfricAid-Tanzania.

Abstract
The study was conducted aiming at assessing the contribution of mentorship support to youth goals achievement. Specifically the study analyzed the influence of mentor’s guidance to youth goals achievement, the effect of mentor’s motivation to youth goals achievement and examined the role of mentor`s skills development to youth goals achievement. Cluster sampling and simple random sampling was used to obtain a sample of 40 respondents. Both qualitative and quantitative data was collected through Interviews, Key informant interviews and Documentary reviews. The data was analyzed through Excel analysis and presented in Figures, Tables and description. The study results show that; availability of mentorship support have a great influence to helping youth achieve their goals. Non-parent potential people in youth lives can bring a great outcome to youth goals achievement. The study concluded that Youth are more likely to achieve their goals with the support of mentors than without mentors support. It was recommended that, the government and non-governmental organizations can establish and run more mentoring programs to schools and other areas where youth can be reached. It was also recommended that Education institutions can establish platforms where youth can access resources to develop their skills and mentors to help them along with the resources. Future studies can be worth to assess the impact of mentorship programs to youth goals and other discipline that may have an impact to youth goals achievement in the context of the environment of Tanzania.
