The findings indicated that correctional rehabilitation programs had a significant influence on inmate behavior change with vocational training, religious and recreational program demonstrating different degree of effectiveness. Nonetheless, these programs showed limited impact on the reduction of reoffending. This study concluded that while rehabilitation efforts can lead to significant changes within prison environments, they are insufficient in preventing reoffending. The researcher suggested the need for these programs and other initiatives aimed at preventing recidivism to address the specific needs of individual offenders as well as the underlying factors that lead them to engage in criminal behavior.
