Impact of Procurement Procedures on Organizational Performance in Kilimanjaro.

Abstract
This study aimed to assess the impact of procurement procedures on organizational performance, with special focus to Kilimanjaro International Leather Industries Company Limited and Moshi Leather Industry Company.The specific objectives focused on determining the effects of the tendering process, supplier selection procedures, and contract management. Drawing on the Institutional Theory and Principal-Agency Theory within a post-positivist philosophical approach, this research employed a quantitative methodology to collect and analyse data. The study's population consisted of 137 personnel, selected through purposive sampling. Data was gathered using self-administered questionnaires, supplemented by secondary data obtained from research papers, journals, company policies, and records. Using descriptive and inferential statistics offered by SPSS version 27, the data were quantitatively analysed. The study unveiled significant positive correlations between the tendering process, contract management, supplier selection, and organizational performance. Furthermore, it identified a significant positive correlation between contract management and organizational performance. Also, the study unveiled a significant positive correlation between the supplier selection, and organizational performance. As a result, this study recommends that organizations prioritize the enhancement of professionalism and transparency in their procurement practices. Additionally, future research endeavours should consider conducting comparative analyses of various organizational procurement strategies and investigating the effects of regulatory changes to uncover best practices and adaptability in diverse business environments.
