Abstract

EDITORIAL NOTE This is the second issue of Vol.1 of the Open University Law Journal whose first issue was published in August 2007. Although this issue was supposed to be published not later than 31st December 2007, it could not be published at that time due to problems beyond the hands of the publishers. The Editorial Board is now working towards the first issue of Volume 2 of this Journal and it will soon be with printers. The present issue carries a wide range of articles including those which are devoted to real and intellectual property matters, right to property, family law and corruption. The articles address topical issues in their respective fields. Professor Rwezaura’s article that he co-authored with Professor Ulrike Wanitzek is worth noting. It introduces a new dimension in family law. The authors argue that the constitutionalization of family law in Tanzania is not an isolated phenomenon but is part of a wider process of political and economic liberalization taking place in the country and affecting other aspects of civil society. The Editorial Board hopes that the readers will find this issue useful and make the maximum of it. Benhajj S. Masoud Chief Editor
