Abstract

Sustainability of community development projects has been a complex process. However, active community participation and involvement, monitoring and evaluation, and financial support and management indicators plays a significant role in determining the existence of the projects. This study aimed at assessing how community participation and involvement, monitoring and evaluation and financial support and management indicators can influence sustainability of CDPs. Questionnaire was design as a methodology of data collection and Focus Group Discussion (FGDs) used to verify the responses of collected data. The sample sizes of 121 respondents were drawn and data were analysed using SPSS. Based on specific objectives, the finding reveal that 51.9% agreed that Monitoring and Evaluation have great influence on sustainability of community development projects, where by 90.1% agreed that community participation and involvement in projects have big impact on sustainability of community development projects, meanwhile 56.7% agreed that financial support and management play a big role on sustainability of community development projects. Generally speaking, the findings revels that, those analyzed indicators; monitoring and evaluation, community participation and involvement, financial support and management have great influence on the sustainability of Community Development Projects .
