Abstract

The study focused on factors influencing conservation of water project in the community for domestic utilization in Loliondo-Ngorongoro District. The study was guided by using the following objectives; to examine management practices influencing conservation of project in the community for domestic utilization, to assess effect of financial supervision on conservation of water project in the community for domestic utilization, and to determine community contribution on conservation of water project in the community for domestic utilization in Loliondo- Ngorongoro District. Interview and questionnaire were used to collect data from local community in Orgosorok Ward. A sample size used was respectively 390 respondents. Data analysis was done by using Microsoft Excel Office. Questionnaire were admitted to 390 respondents included water users and village leaders while interview were conducted to 6 key informants from LO-UWASA involves technicians. The finding where; Factors influencing conservation of water project in the community for domestic utilization in study area. It includes presence of skills building of water project, water source policy protection, suitable planning management, financial record inspection, and financial record keeping. It was concluded that, the Government and private sectors should provide awareness in financial use and management by giving returns of incomes and expenditures of financial records and inspection in water source projects. The Government should provide skills building, policy protection and suitable planning management in the community to influence conservation of water project in the community.
