Abstract

In this paper we attempt to argue that the pursuit of socialist objectives as enshrined in the constitution of the United Republic holds a lofty promise for building a national consensus over development priorities within the timeframe of vision 2025. The choice is not between socialism or capitalism but rather to struggle for modernization of our productive capacities, delivery of quality social services and equitable access to resources.
