Increased Household Income of Hope Trust Women Group in Ekenywa Village Through Poultry Farming Arumeru District.

Abstract
This study is the product of CED student which aimed to increase households income of Hope Trust women group in Ekenywa village found in Arumeru.The researcher conducted his study through Tumaini VICOBA group in Ekenywa village which is a socio-economic financial group.Hope Trust group is a five women group which was formed aimed to unite their efforts of marginalized women group to improve their households’ income in Ekenywa village. The study carried participatory community needs Assessment. The assessment was done through identification of community needs in participative manner. The study involved collection of data through interview and focus group discussion and through informant group in the community. It was therefore through pair wise ranking that poultry project was identified. The study revealed that poultry project was economically viable and implementable in Hope Trust women group. The goals which were implemented included, determine the economic activities that is undertaken by Hope Trust group members, examine the possibility of establishing the income generating project in the Hope Trust group and access and build capacity of Hope Trust group in management and sustainability of chicken project by 2017.The expected result increased productivity of poultry project, resulted to functioning and efficient poultry project through Hope Trust group. More women are now attracted to the project very eager to establish new poultry projects in Ekenywa village. The three objectives were met with exception of selling project product which will be achieved by December 2017.
