Abstract

The effectiveness of the telecommunications business is determined by the management structure in place. It is well known that competent management leads to good results in the workplace or on a project. The study looked at how management may help improve project performance in the telecommunications industry. The research focused on how the four phases of project management planning, organizing, leading, and controlling affect the success of the TIGO telecommunications business in the Kinondoni municipality of Dar es Salaam. In light of this, the research team decided to focus on 70 TIGO officers as its sample population. Both primary and secondary sources of information were used to compile the study's findings. Descriptive statistics and a regression model were used to examine the data. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Regression analysis was used to calculate the probabilities and establish the statistical significance. Qualitative data analysis was used to get more information for the study. According to the findings, the roles of planning, organizational structure, and leadership are highly effective in project performance, and there is a significant relationship between the roles of planning, organizational structure, and leadership in project performance. The study proposes that more focus be placed on the role of industry leaders, as they are the primary executors. It also suggests that planning should be undertaken at each level of new activity in order to fulfil the major objectives. Keyword: Management, Project Performance, Telecommunication Industry, Tigo.
